Parker Royal Quink Black F 5th generation refill

You may be wondering what the "5th generation" is.

The answer is simple. After the fountain pen, rollerball, ballpoint pen and mechanical pencil - the four basic writing instruments - a new, fifth kind appeared. It is a hybrid between a ballpoint pen and a fountain pen, with a special refill. What makes the difference is a flexible ink-flow regulator in the tip of the refill that adapts to your pressure and writing style, for truly personal writing without leaks. As you may have guessed, this 5th generation refill is also a patented Parker invention. In 2012 the first range to use 5th generation technology was Ingenuity. The refill for this writing instrument is called the 5th generation refill. It was designed to offer a new, versatile writing experience. As with rollerball refills, you can choose a fine or medium tip (this time a felt tip), and the ink comes in a palette of 7 colours. Made in Germany.
